Katie taught in a private school in Northeastern China five,
limited times from 2000-2004. She used innovative methods
in helping teachers and students learn English.
Katie believes that foreign language should be taught as
early as possible. The three to six year old children in the
day care program [called Kindergarten by the Chinese] learned
over 200 English words and began speaking in phrases by using
the video series Your
Baby Can Read based of the research of Robert
C.Titzer, Ph.D.
During her absence this early learning program
was continued by the local staff proving that a foreign teacher
wasn't absolutely necessary.
